Jiuzhaigou, nicknamed fairyland, is the habitat of giant pandas and well known for its multi-level waterfalls and colorful lakes and has been listed into World Heritage List.

Jiuzhaigou is located in northern part of Sichuan Province, which stretches over 72,000 meters. The tortuous and narrow Jiuzhaigou valley more than 4,800 meters above sea level results in a range of different forms of forest ecosystem. The existing 140 species of birds, many endangered plants and animal species, including the giant pandas and the Sichuan takins are there in Jiuzhaigou. The elevation has great disparity. The diverse climate and picturesque attracts lots of people here.

Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area is very attractive because of the lake, waterfall, mountains, forest, and cloud reflected on the water. Tree growing at the water’s edge, the water flowing in the forest, the wonders of the blue-and-white, all of these give people an impression of unforgettable beauty.

Lakes

It is called Yansai Lake in geology. In ancient times, when the earth was cold and stayed in interglacial period, the calcium carbonate in the water could not condense, so it ran with the water. Until about twelve thousand years ago, the earth’s climate became warmer and then the calcium carbonate in the water became active gradually, finally, they were attached to it on a case of obstacles. With the time went by, Yansai Lake formed. It’s a nature’s gift, from which you can the magic of nature.

Multicolored Jade Pool is just heard in myths, which we never saw before. However, in Jiuzhaigou, you are able to actually see the color of the lake, and that is hiding in the bottom of the colored pool Zechawa Valley. Through forest clearance, the water in the pool is aqua blue, light green, purple, gray and black, if you change your standing angle. If the wind breezes, the lake is colorful, which really seems like Jade Pool falling into the earth.

Water Scenery

Waterfall

Nuorilang Fall, 320 meters wide, is the widest waterfall in China and is located in the center of Jiuzhaigou. Besides, it is regarded as the symbol of Jiuzhaigou. Panda Lake Falls, 78 meters high and 50 meters wide, has the biggest drop. Frozen in winter, so the ice crystals are sparking and spectacular. Pearl Beach Waterfall, 310 meters wide and 28 meters high, is connected to the Pearl Beach. The surface of the waterfall looks like crescent and the water curtain is like a huge ring-shaped screen. Each attraction gives a strong feeling of beauty, which makes people excited.

Rhinoceros Sea

Rhinoceros Sea, 2.2 kilometers long, 17 meters deep, has an altitude of 2,400 meters, whose deepest place can reach over 40 meters. It is the second biggest sea in Jiuzhaigou. The clouds’ reflection makes people can’t tell where the sky is and where the sea is. The Coleuses around the lakeshore are pretty resplendent and beautiful. The end of the north shore is full of reeds, the south bank of the export both have woods and silver waterfall. A large intoxicating blue lake stands in the middle. All of these sceneries make the people forget to leave away.

Zhongcha Valley

Located in the Zhangzha Town, Jiuzhaigou County, Zhongcha Valley is about 10 kilometers long and 3.5 kilometers wide. The peak is about 4,000 meters above sea level. Zhongcha Valley has a very rich flora and fauna. The pleasant climate, beautiful scenery, colorful forest, virgin forest, and river attract plenty of people. Not only the beauty, but also the ancient Tibetan villages form a unique characteristic of the combination of mysterious Tibetan folk customs and cultural resources.
