Lan Kwai Fong in central Hong Kong, a L-shaped cobblestone street, is the most well known nightlife district in packed with bars, clubs, restaurants, expatriates and tourists.
In a narrow sense, Lan Kwai Fong is an L-shaped cobblestone street in central, Hong Kong. Broadly speaking, it refers to a high-grade consumption area. With more than 80 restaurants and bars spread in this narrow L-shaped lane, Lan Kwai Fong has become the most famous bar street in Hong Kong and the culture zone of Hong Kong. It is dominated by white collar workers and foreigners in the night.
History
The area was dedicated to hawkers before the Second World War. A businessman Allan Zeman, also known as the father of Lan Kwai Fong, moved to Hong Kong in 1975 and opened a restaurant here. Some of the yuppies here wanted to find a place to chant, then the restaurant become the place for them to spend the happy time. Later the Lan Kwai Fong became a leisure place gradually and gathered more and more bras and restaurant.
Bars

During special occasions such as Halloween or New Year's Eve and carnival, Lan Kwai Fong holds activities such as game stalls, competitions, and entertainment performances and sets multiple characteristic booth to sell all kinds of snacks and special drink, manual decorations, souvenir T-shirt and so on. The crowds put the place at a literal standstill with the large numbers.
