Hong Kong Disneyland

Covering an area of 126.82 hectares, Hong Kong Disneyland is the fifth Disneyland in the world and also the smallest Disneyland. The park opened to visitors on 12 September 2005 and welcome the people all over the world to have all the fun they can here. As a kingdom dedicated to the young and the young at heart, Hong Kong Disneyland brings you joy and inspiration.

Attractions

Hong Kong Disneyland includes six theme zone with activities for all ages: Main Street, U.S.A Adventure-land, Tomorrow-land, Toy Story Land, Fantasyland and Grizzly Gulch.

Main Street, U.S.A

Like other Disney theme parks, Hong Kong Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A. serves as the entrance of the park. The buildings of this Main Street are in resemblance of those in Anaheim, where Walt Disney lived in his childhood. Unlike Main Streets from other parks, Main Street at Hong Kong Disneyland is built mainly of wood instead of stone. The stores and amusement are the most in the whole land, such as the Disney Gallery, the Main Street Cinema, the Disneyland Railroad, etc.

Adventure-land

Disneyland’s Adventure-land was originally envisioned as True-Life Adventure-land, and was to be based on Walt’s famous award winning nature documentaries on Africa and Asia. It is themed to resemble the remote jungles in Africa, Asia, South America, and the South Pacific. The popular entertainment here is Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones Adventure and Aladdin's Oasis Dinner Show.

Tomorrow-land

Tomorrow-land is a place full of fantastic stories and science fiction. Being different from other Disney theme parks, Hong Kong Disneyland features an emphasis on metallic trim, dominated by blue and purple hues. Since the opening of the park, unique attractions have been added into the Hong Kong’s Tomorrow-land, such as a new Autopia, Astro Orbitor, Starcade and Stitch Encounter, etc.

Toy Story Land

Toy Story Land is the first new themed land since the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland in 2005. It is themed using bamboo to act as giant blades of grass surrounding the area. The themed land will make use of characters from the Toy Story movies, such as an enlarged Woody, Rex, an over-sized paper plane a large ball from the first Pixar short, Luxo Jr. You can experience Toy Soldier Boot Camp, Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, RC Racer and Slinky Dog Spin.

Fantasyland

Fantasyland is a place filled with image, hope and dream, where all the classic stories of everyone's youth have become realities. Fantasyland features Sleeping Beauty Castle and the Fantasy Gardens where costumed Disney characters can be met. It is said that Fantasyland was Walt Disney’s favorite land at Disneyland.

Grizzly Gulch

Grizzly Gulch calls to mind an abandoned mining town set amid mountains and woods, where takes you an entirely new and original experience which has been developed exclusively for Hong Kong Disneyland. Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, Geyser Gulch, Grizzly Gulch Welcome Wagon Show, Wild West Photo Fun are included in this zone.

Entertainment

Flights of Fantasy Parade

The parade premiered on 18 January 2011 as part of ‘Celebration in the Air, celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Hong Kong Disneyland. It starts from the Fantasyland and ends the Main Street, U.S.A every afternoon. At the designated place, the float will rise to about 40 feet high to perform.

Disney in the Stars

Disney in the Stars is a nightly fireworks show based on Fantasy in the Sky at other Disney parks. Fireworks and pyrotechnics are coordinated to orchestrated classic Disney music such as “A Whole New World”.

Muppet Mobile Lab

Muppet Mobile Lab is an audio-animatronic entertainment implemented on a Segway platform. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant, Beaker, travel in their Muppet Mobile Laboratory vehicle through the Main Street, U.S.A and Tomorrow-land. They will invite visitors to be their assistant and the Audio-Animatronic puppet versions of the characters encourage park visitors to take part in their experiments and antics. Besides, they will show you their latest invention.
