Guilin Weather

Guilin is located in a low altitude and is monsoon climate in subtropical zone. It has distinct four seasons, and the summer and winter is longer, while the rainy days and hot days are at the same season. With annual average temperature of 17.8?, its July is the hottest and January is coldest.

Four Seasons in Guilin
Spring - Spring is still cold with the temperature of below 9℃, but visitors can enjoy an easiest journey because of brushing past the peak season. Meanwhile, Peach flower all over the mountain in spring is so attractive.
Summer - Summer is hot and lasts long, but the beautiful natural landscapes attract visitors. There are many attractions visitors can go, like to Li River, Xingan Ling Canal, Zijiang Drafting, Elephant Trunk Hill, Seven Star Park and so on.
Fall - Autumn is the ideal time to visit Guilin because of the cool and clear weather. Longsheng Terrace would be the first choice when you visit Guilin in this season.
Winter - Winter is humid and cold. Although a tourist off-season, visitors can feel another beauty of Guilin. If it is a sunny day, you can sit out to have a drink in West Street (Foreigner Street) to enjoy a pleasant afternoon, or bath in hot spring after a long day travelling.
Best Time to Visit

Generally speaking, Guilin has a mild climate. You can visit here all the year around, but the best time to visit Guilin is from April to October. When entering into the peak season, the tourists are growing and the transportation becomes busier. So to brush past this period and to come to Guilin in low season is also a wise choice.
