Cruising on a boat along the charming Li River in autumn, you will see a hill illuminated with red maples and a towering pagoda. That is the Pagoda Hill reputed for its unique reflection of the hill in the Li River.

Located at the east bank of Li River, west of the Xiaodongjiang River, Pagoda Hill shared the mountain body with the Tunnel Hill a million years ago. Owing to the crustal movement, it had been a solitary peak with the elevation of 194 meters across the river from Tunnel Hill. It has another name called Warship Hill for its shape is similar to a warship sailing in the river.

Together with the Tunnel Hill and Elephant Trunk Hill which also are along the Li River, they compromise the best mountains-and-waters painting, especially during the sun rises, three hills are plated with golden morning light.
