Served as the comprehensive base of ski training and match and the primary training venue for China's national teams, Yabuli Ski Resort is biggest and best in China.

Situated at the north foot of Yabuli Sun Mountain in southeast of Yabuli Town in Shangzhi City, the YabuliSki Resort is about 200 kilometers west to Harbin and 120 kilometers east to Mudanjiang City. First built in 1980, the resort is the largest comprehensive base of ski training and match in China. It serves as the primary training venue for China's national teams (Alpine, Nordic and Freestyle teams). In other word, YabuliSki Resort is China's biggest and best.

Climate

Located in temperate zone, the ski resort enjoys a humid monsoon climate . Due to its north location, snowfall in the area can remain until late spring or early summer. The average temperature reaches minus 10 degrees Celsius during the winter, even can dip down to minus 45 degrees in the chilly days. From the middle of November to the end of next March is the best time to ski in the resort.

Facilities

Covering an area of 22.55 square kilometers, the resort is composed of international standard Alpine competition skiing area and recreation skiing area. The former one occupies nine intermediate-level to advanced-level Alpine pistes, seven cross-country trails, six ski lifts and ski jumping, 90 meters Alpine platform, indoors gymnasium, Athletes village and so on.

The recreation skiing area covers eleven pistes from primary level to advanced level, one cross-country trails, three ski lifts and a world longest summer trails. This area provides visitors entertainment events such as Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, sledding, dogsledder, skating on the lake, making snowmen and bonfire party. Moreover, there are special skiing area for children, ski school, bars, restaurants, shopping centers, the Red Cross first-aid station, international long-distance telephone, and SATV.

Besides, the ski resort employs a large number of well-knowledgeable and experienced ski instructors, although not all of them are fluent in English. So, don’t worry about that if you are a beginner in the resort.
