Guiyang Weather

Situated in the southwest of China, on the eastern side of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Guiyang enjoys a pleasant humid subtropical climate with plenty of sunlight and abundant rainfall. The summer is not hot and the winter is not cold without wind and sand throughout the four seasons. The average temperature of Guiyang is about 15°C (59°F). July is the hottest month of the year with an average of 24°C (75°F) while January is the coldest one, averaging a temperature of 4.6°C (40°F).

 

Spring - Spring is a favorable season for tourists that everything comes to life. On the other hand, traditional Miao festivals like San Duo Festival are celebrated during this period. With the moderate temperature and shining sun, you will find a fresh Guiyang.

Summer - it is not hot in summer for the highest temperature is in July of 24°C (75°F) but it rains a lot. So it is necessary to bring an umbrella with you during summer in Guiyang.

Fall - it is the best time to visit the magnificent Huangguoshu Waterfalls which is located southwest from Guiyang at the invigorating autumn.

Winter - it is not too cold which makes Guiyang a comfortable city to stay. The air is fresh and humid without any sandstorm.
