Guiyang, also known as Lincheng is the capital of Guizhou Province in the southwest of China, on the east slope of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. Characterized by its humid and temperate climate in subtropical zone, Guiyang has rich natural resources.

With a long history of over 400 years, Guiyang is a multi-minority city of more than 30 ethnic groups, including Miao, Buyi, Dong, Lisu and Hui and so on. Thus, Guiyang abounds with unique folk culture and traditions that give rise to many colorful minority activities.
