Bark Painting

Not all trees do find the bitter cold in winter in Changchun unbearable, the Birch trees in Changchun seem satisfied with the environment in the virgin forest just out of town. What makes the birch distinct from other species is its multi-colored layers of bark--from reddish white of the outer layer to milk, incarnadine, yellow and chocolate of the inner ones.
