Ginseng is one of three treasures of Dongbei (northeast part of China).
It is honored as No.1 of herbal plants.Wild ginseng of Changbai Mountain is of top-class. Among the most important plants used as an herbal remedy, ginseng is popular throughout China and the world. Wild ginseng from the Changbai Mountain region is particularly sought-after. Ginseng is known to be a mild stimulant, and laboratory studies have proven that it enhances libido.

Just like ginseng, deer's antler is also one of three treasures of Dongbei.
Deer's antler is an important local product produced in the Changbai Mountain area. Especially sought after are the new antlers of deer. Deer's antler has very high nutritional value, and is frequently used in TCM after being ground into powder. It is believed to enhance the immune system and is full of amino acids.

Discovering this unique feature, local people created a new art form--bark painting (Baishan mudiao), which features all kinds of topics, ranging from the natural landscape to flora and fauna.

Dehui town is known for its copious quantities of straw and the woven wares from here are famous for their unusual toughness, lightness, heat-insulating properties and water resistance. The straw is woven into varieties of finished products such as baskets, saddles, cushions and even carpets, and nowadays the materials used have expanded to encompass wicker, weed and cornstalk.
