Badabu

Located in downtown Changchun, Badabu (Eight Branches of Manchukuo) was built by the last emperor of China - Pu Yi, as the office buildings of the Manchukuo.

From 1932 to 1945, Japanese set up a Manchuhuo with Pu Yi, the last emperor of China, to occupy the northeast of China and carry out fascist colonial rule Badabu consists of eight buildings which are eight branches of Manchukuo. They are well-combinations of Chinese style and Western style surrounded by green trees, exotic moods filled the air.

Eight branches

Built in 1936, the eight buildings are eight branches and departments of the Manchukuo, including
the department of public security, department of justice, department of economy, department of communications, department of agriculture, department of culture and education, department of foreign affairs, department of people's livelihood. These buildings witness the history of Japanese aggression against China and the development of Changchun after the found of the People's Republic of China
