Jiuzhaigou Aba Transportation

Jiuzhaigou is quite isolated from other cities in Sichuan province. Now the most convenient way to get in is travelling by air from Chengdu or Chongqing to Jiuzhaigou Jiuhuang Airport. Still tourists can choose train or long-distance bus from Chengdu, but these two plans are a little slower. If you want to have a self-driving travel, Dajiuzhai Highway Loop is the best classic tourist line in Sichuan.
 

Although a lot of hotels have opened around Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area but it’s still quite a distance to get there. So taxi can be very helpful sometimes. The flag fall of the taxis is CNY5, with a surcharge fare of CNY1.4 per additional kilometer (0.62 miles).Most places can be reached by taxi for less than CNY10

 Get in

Chengdu and Chongqing airports remain the starting point for visitors to Jiuzhaigou. Flights from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport are favored as there are more than 20 flights which depart from here every day and the flight time is about 40 minutes. The ticket is CNY1,000 all the year round. There are several flights from Chongqing Jiangbei Airport take one hour for the journey everyday, but the price of the ticket is much cheaper. Besides Chengdu and Chongqing, you can fly to Xi’an, Kunming, Zhangjiajie, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Shanghai, from Jiuhuang Airport.

 Sightseeing Bus

There’s not really any city bus in Jiuzhaigou because it’s such a small area and almost anywhere can be reached by bicycle or going on foot. If you want to use buses as transportation to get around the city, sightseeing bus is your best choice. The price for it is 80RMB per person from November 16th to March 31st and CNY90 from April 1st to November 15th. Tourists can buy tickets together with the entrance ticket to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area.
 

 Long-Distance Bus

It takes longer to take a long-distance bus. There are three starting points to Jiuzhaigou.

Chengdu-Jiuzhaigou
.New Nanmen Station: Before 08:00am there are four buses every morning. The price costs CNY125 per person.
Chadianzi Station: Four buses are scheduled at 07:20, 08:00, 09:20, and 10:00 every morning. The ticket is CNY100.

Mianyang-Jiuzhaigou
Pingzheng Station: Before 11:00am, there is only bus to Jiuzhaigou, and the ticket costs about CNY92.

Dujiangyan-Jiuzhaigou
Three buses are at 08:00,09:40, and 10:20 every morning. It costs CNY96 and takes you about 8-9 hours.
