Kashgar Old Town

Kashgar Old Town, located in the east of Hotan City and on the east bank of Kashgar, is 4 kilometers wide from east to west and 11 kilometers long from north to south, covering an area of 39.5 square kilometers. Kashgar Old Town is an intersection of two roads from north to south in ancient Silk Road. It is the first big city on the Silk Road to get into China from North Asia. Inclining from south to north, Kashgar Old Town belongs to an alluvial plain and the terrain is flat. The climate is a typical continental arid desert climate dry and dusty.
