There, you can visit Huitengxile Grassland where little yellow flowers cover the whole place, the sky is blue and the color is so beautiful that there is no accurate word to describe it. Apart from scenery, there’s also culture. You can visit Dazhao Temple where a lot of important events have been held, or Zhaojun Tomb, where one of the four well-known beauties in China's ancient Western Han Dynasty is buried.

Air and railway are two most convenient ways to get in Hohhot. The airport is only 15 kilometers away from down town. It takes only 10 hours to Hohhot from Beijing by railway. There are also many express ways passing through Hohhot and it’s easy to get in from cities nearby.

The food of Hohhot combines a mixture of northern Chinese and ethnic Mongolian flavors. Traditional Mongolian dishes include Roasted Whole Lamb, Milk Tea and Oat Flour Noodles. Hohhot Weather
Hohhot has very cold winters when the temperature drops to -25C to -45C (-13F to -49F), and sometimes there is terrible snowstorm, so visiting Hohhot in winter is not recommended. From April to October is the best time to visit Hohhot, but if you want to see beautiful grassland, July and August are the two best times when the grass and flowers have all fully grown. The temperature between day and night is big, so even in summer you will need warm clothes at night and in the morning.
