Steamed Stuffed Bun of Caobao
It is said that in the past, a restaurant near the Yellow River hired a young man who looked stupid, so, people called him Caobao which, in Jinan dialect, means dumpish. In fact, he was quite clever and able-minded He only made steamed stuffed buns which became well-known soon. Later, he came to Jinan and made steamed stuffed bun which were called Caobao.
