Guiyang Transportation

It's easy to get in Guiyang by either air or railway, since Guiyang is a transportation hub, with a network of roads, railways and an airport. Guiyang Longdongbao international airport conducts air traffic. Guiyang Airport, the only airport in Guizhou Province, is located about 9 miles from city. Presently it serves more than 30 airlines connecting Guiyang to the major cities of China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Nanning, Qingdao, Sanya, Shantou, Shenyang, Wenzhou, Wuhan, Xiamen, Xi'an, Yibin, Zhangjiajie, Zhanjiang, Zhengzhou, Zhuhai, etc.

Shuttle buses run every hour from 8am to 8pm, and cost CNY10 between the airport and the city.

In Guiyang, nearly all the buses run from 6am to 9:00-9:30 pm. The bus fare is CNY1. Public buses No.1 and No. 2 have shuttle services day and night between the Railway Station and Qianling Park. Some buses routes connect the scenic areas, for example Bus No.26 runs between Hebin Park and Huaxi Scenic Area, while bus No.38 shuttles between Hebei Park and Tianhetan Scenic Area.

Long-Distance Bus

To and from cities outside Guizhou Province, there are bus to Kunming, Shaotong, Nanning, Baise, Guangzhou and Dongwan. For cities inside Guizhou Province, there are bus to Bijie, Tongren, Anshun, Duyun, Zunyi, Jinsha, Maotai, Chishui, etc. From Guiyang to Anshun, there's a bus leaving every 15 minutes, and a bus leaves for Zunyi every 30 minutes. There are also buses to Xingyi, Zhijin.

Trains are the major form of transportation in Guizhou Province. The Guiyang-Liuzhou, Chongqing-Guiyang, Guiyang-Kunming and Zhuzhou-Guiyang railways all start from Guiyang. Trains leave Guiyang going to all major cities in China including Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Zhanjiang, Liuzhou, etc. Apart from trains that go direct from and to Guiyang, trains run between Shanghai and Chongqing also stop at Guiyang.

Now, within Guizhou Province, there are tour trains between Guiyang and Liupanshui, Guiyang and Yuping. There are also trains between Guiyang and Tongzi, Kaili and Duyun.
