Tibet has similar climate with mainland China but with lower temperatures. Winter (November to March): dry and cold, the coldest month of January has the average temperature of -2°C. Summers (May to September): warm, strong sunshine, cool nights. Some areas above 4000m are chilly even in summer. Spring and autumn: one day may vary the climate of four seasons, possibly with snowfall.
