Lhasa Nightlife

Nightlife in Lhasa is not as colorful as the big cities in China even though it is a famous tourist destination. The activity is typically comprised of watching traditional Tibetan song and dance or enjoying tasty local snacks at the night market.

Tibetan song and dance is also called Langma opera and Xinshiji Langma Hall is an authentic place to watch the performance. Tianhai Night Market on the west suburb of city is the most famous night market in Lhasa lined with many stalls of snacks, fruits and handicrafts. Barkhor Street is also a good place to hang out for snacks and souvenirs. Mayke Ame and Ganglamedo Cafe&Bar with exotic flavors are ideal place to relax at night. Dunya Restaurant and Bar with quiet and easy environment is perfect for reminiscing and conversation.
