Filial Duty

Filiality includes to respect, to offer duties and also to take care of the elders, especially children to their parents. It is a traditional virtue. And Confucianism makes the filiality more widely, not only to parents, and own elderships, but others.

Advocate on ancestor worship: to worship the ancestor is one way to express filiality. The major time includes some traditional Chinese festivals, such as the Tomb-Sweeping Day (on annual April 5) and the Double Ninth Festival (September 9) etc. Through ancestor worship, on the one hand, these later generations can show their respect and miss to ancestors; on the other hand, it is believed the late ancestors on heaven will bless their later generations healthy and happy.
