grizz9 Q: Please let us know what temperatures we might expect in Shigatse and Gyangtse in early February. 2012.11.12

A: Are you sure to travel there in February? February is very cold winter time in China. However, I have the following information to share with you. Shigatse has a semi-arid, plateau temperate, monsoon climate. Temperatures range from a high of 23? (73.4F) to a low of -25? (-13F) with an annual average temperature of 6.3? (43.34F). From November to April, the temperature is quite low. The minimum temperature in Febuary may as low as - 9.5? and also due to the frequent wind and dry atmosphere, thus it is not a recommended time to visit.
