    Kunming
    This tour starts around 2:00pm. So make sure you arrive in Kunming before 2:00pm.
    Arrive in Kunming. Pick up at Airport/Hotel/Railway Station in Kunming. Visit Grand View Tower.
    Overnight in Kunming
    Day 2
    Kunming - Dali
    Visit Stone Forest, Golden Horse and Phoenix Archway, Green Lake Park, The Flower and Bird Market. Take a night sleeper train to Dali (train ticket included).

    Dali
    Arrive Dali in the morning. Visit Mt. Cangshan (round trip cable car included), Dali Ancient City, Foreign Tourist Street.

    Dali - Lijiang
    Transfer to Lijiang in the morning. Visit Yuquan Park, Square Street, Lijiang Old Town.

    Visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yak Meadow (round trip cable car included), Dongba Valley, Yufeng Lamasery, Mural in Baisha Village

    Transfer to Airport in Lijiang. Lijiang to Kunming by Air in the morning(air ticket included).
    Day 1 Kunming
    This tour starts around 2:00pm. So make sure you arrive in Kunming before 2:00pm.

    Upon arrival in Kunming, our guide picks you up at the Airport/Hotel/Railway Station in Kunming.

    Then head for Grand View Tower (Daguanlou), a typical well-preserved wooden pagoda. The park consists of hills, ponds, pavilions and rockeries in a style similar to that of the gardens of the Yangtze River Delta.
     
    Day 2 Kunming>>Dali
    Today you have a chance to explore the Stone Forest, known as the "First Wonder of the World." Walking through the Stone Forest, you appreciate the natural stone masterpieces in various shapes.

    Then stroll around Flower and Bird Market. Later visit Golden Horse and Phoenix Archway, the symbolic building of Kunming and the thriving shopping area.

    At last, visit Green Lake Park, one of the most favorite parks in Kunming and the scenery is one of the eight most beautiful scenes in the city.

    Take a soft sleeper to Dali at night (train ticket included).
     
    Day 3 Dali
    Arrive Dali in the morning and transfer to your hotel in Dali for a short break.

    After lunch, you can explore Mt. Cangshan by cable car (round trip cable car included). Mt. Cangshan enjoys great reputation for its snow, clouds, springs and marble. Then head for a local handcraft manufactory to experience the process of Tie Dying Cloth with Wax.Later, enjoy the houses of Bai People in Xizhou. And you have an opportunity to appreciate San Dao Cha (three-course of Bai People) and Bai's Performances.

    Then wander in the Dali Ancient City and stroll around Foreign Tourist Street.
     
    Day 4 Dali>>Lijiang
    Today move to Lijiang by car. Drive to Yuquan Park, where the enormous Black Dragon Pool lies. It provides a haven for bird and water-life, with spectacular plants. Surrounding the pool, within the park's landscape, are ancient monuments such as the Longshen Temple, the Deyue Pavilion, the Suocui Bridge and the Hanyue Stage.

    Then head for the Square Street at the core of Lijiang Old Town. Four main streets radiate from Square Street and extend to the four different directions from that point. Owing to its special characteristics of ethnic culture, urban layout and historical authenticity.

    At last, scroll on Lijiang Old Town, a well-preserved old city of ethnic minorities with brilliant culture, is the center of Naxi Ethnic Minority Autonomous County in Yunnan.
     
    Day 5 Lijiang
    Today continue the sightseeing of Lijiang Old Town.

    Visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. From a distance the snow-covered and fog-enlaced mountain looks like a dragon flying among the clouds, hence it gets the name. It has been considered as the soul of both Lijiang City and Naxi nationality. Reach the Yak Meadow by cable car (round trip cable car included) and enjoy an amazing view.

    Then visit the Dongba Valley of Minorities in Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Valley and Yufeng Lamasery on the slopes of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

    Lastly, appreciate Mural in Baisha Village. The Baisha Mural was made from 1385 to 1619, employing the eclectic artist energies of Chinese Taoist, Tibetan and Naxi Buddhists and local dongba shamans.
     
    Day 6 Lijiang
    Morning after breakfast, head for Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Gorge) by car. Around 15 km in length, the gorge is located where the river passes between 5,596 meters Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and 5,396 meters Haba Snow Mountains in a series of rapids under steep 2000 meters cliffs. Legend says that in order to escape from a hunter, a tiger jumped across the river at the narrowest point (still 25 meters wide), hence the name.

    On the way to Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Gorge), you can overlook the First Bend of the Yangtze, which creates beautiful and marvelous views that startle the imagination.

    Back to your hotel in Lijiang.
     
    Day 7 Lijiang>>Kunming
    Transfer to Airport in Lijiang and go to Kunming by air (air ticket included).

    End of service.

    Suggested Tipping: for local guide: $8 to $10 per person (guest) per day, for driver: $4 to $5 per person (guest) per day.

The letter must be signed by the lead name on the booking and once we receive it you should expect to receive a cancellation letter within 24 hours. If you do not then please contact us to ensure your letter has been received.
    To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your travel arrangements, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. The person who made the booking is responsible for paying this charge. The size of the charge depends on when we receive your cancellation notice or letter or how you would like us to deal with your payment providing that we have received your full payment for the tours.

    Richard C Q: I would like to know how is the weather like in January To February in Kunming, Shangri-la, Lijiang, Deli and Xishuangbanna. Thanks 2012.12.24

    A: For these detinations, during Jan. the highest temp will be 15C or a little higer, but the lowest temp may be only nearly 0C and around. In Feb. it will be a little warmer, with the average temp of about 15C, but sometimes, the lowest temp will be only 3C. So I suggest you take along sweater and cardigan for Jan. and a light coat and jeans for Feb.

    Zeting L Q: I am an older person with heart related problem Can I go and enjoy the beautry of Tiger Leaping Gorge. Can I go and enjoy the beautry of Tiger Leaping Gorge without actually hiking on feet? 2011.3.7

    A: You'd bettr do not go there for hiking. Or you can go to ask your doctor for advice.

    ucartech Q: dear sir,if we woulld like to travel by train from KM to Dali or Lijiang either train tikets want purchaeses eiarlier or on the same day? I need your opnion. 2010.1.1

    A: It depends. If you plan to travel around the Chinese holidays, such as National Day Holiday, Middle Autumn Day and Spring Festival, you'd better book the ticket in advance. Though, you may also fail to get a train ticket. If during the normal days, you can buy it on the same day. Anyway, the train ticket in China is a little difficult to get sometimes. So generally, the ticket reservation is suggested.
