Mt. Jiuhuashan

Located in Chizhou City Anhui Province, Mt. Jiuhuashan covers an area of 334 square kilometers and the highest peak is 1,342 meters above the sea level. Mt. Jiuhuashan is mainly consisted of granite of Yanshan Period with peaks, valleys, basins and streams mixing in it. Famous as a summer resort, it is the first batch of Key National Scenic Area and the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha Dojo is known as the International Buddhist Temple.

Shiwang Peak

Shiwang Peak, 1,344.4 meters, is the highest peak in Mt. Jiushushan. The scenery in Shiwang Peak is very magnificent with odd and rugged stones, waterfalls. The waterfalls pour heavily, but the streams are murmuring. Some big and some small give people the visual impact.

Incarnation Hall

Formerly known as the Dizang Tower and firstly built in Tang Dynasty (618-907), Incarnation Hall is located in Jiuhua Street. In his later years, Jin Dizang used this place to chant. About three years after his death, Jin Dizang’s face was still refresh, which was the trillion of Bodhisattva. Then three-storey stone tower was built to bury his body and the tower is called Incarnation Hall.

Incarnation Hall is a typical palatial architecture 15 meters high. If you want to get into the hall paved with white marble stone, you must climb eight-one steps. White marble base 1.8 meters high with four props in different angles is in the center of the hall. Overlooking at here, you can see the dense green forests, and bright flowers. The contending for flourish and the singing of the birds both can make you feel relaxed. In the north tower has a half-moon Yaotai with three big tripods on it.

Jiuhua Street

Jiuhua Street more than 600 meters above sea level is the center of Mt.Jiuhuashan. The main temples are also concentrated here. Besides temple, here also have schools, hotels, shops, cottages which can provide visitors places to have a rest. Huacheng temple built in Jing Dynasty (265-420) is the oldest temple in Mt.Jiuhuashan. The layout of the temple depends on the mountain, which reflects the superb architectural design art.
